Delete your Bench Eleven account
Type the address you sign in with. We email you a link; the account is closed only when you open that link and press the button there.
What does not go away
- Your paddling details — name, gender, weight, paddling side, birth year, any paradragon, cancer survivor or other race-division details on your profile, and the gender category a manager recorded for you to race in — stay stored with the clubs you paddled for, because past lineups were built from them. After you close your account no member list and no club export shows them; only the lineups you paddled in keep your name. A manager's notes about you are deleted after twelve months.
- Past rosters keep the boat you paddled in, with your name. Rewriting them would corrupt other people's season.
- A report you filed about someone else is kept for twelve months, reduced to an account identifier.
Everything else — your address, phone, photo, bio, links, emergency contact and date of birth — is removed straight away, and your seats in practices and races still to come are given up.
If you own a club
A club cannot be left without an owner. The link will tell you which clubs you own and ask again, because closing your account closes them too. Hand a club over to somebody else first if you want it to carry on.
