Build your first lineup
From a practice with answers to a published boat. You’ll need to run the club, or be someone who can edit its lineups.
Open the lineup
On the practice, tap Edit lineup. The boat opens with the Pool: everyone sorted by their answer — Attending, Maybe, No response, Not coming — and four Stand-ins for seats you’ll fill on the day.
Seat people
Tap a person, then a seat. While you’re holding someone, every seat shows how they’d fit:
- Their zone, on a side they’re strong on
- They can sit here
- A side they avoid, or a seat they don’t usually take
You can still seat anyone anywhere. Tap an empty seat instead to see who’s Recommended for it, or drag people around on a computer or iPad.
Or fill the rest
Fill remaining seats the empty benches from the yes answers, then the maybes, weighing sides, zones, balance and where each paddler has sat lately. It picks a steersperson too, and leaves the drummer to you.
Read the balance
Side and Trim each show the weight you’d move at the widest bench to level the boat — left to right, and bow to stern. Shift about half of it across. Green is within 5%; amber is past 10%.
Each seat counts by where it sits: the middle of the boat leans it most, and the drummer and steersperson count toward trim. A paddler with no weight entered counts as nothing, so ask everyone to add theirs.
Check the issues
2 issues lists anything worth a second look — Nobody assigned in a seat that has to be filled, a paddler who Avoids the right side, someone who Withdrew 2h ago. Tap one to go to the seat. None of them stops you publishing.
Publish
Tap Publish. Publish to crew? tells you how many paddlers will be told their seat. Each one sees the boat with their own seat marked You — names and seats, no weights.
Changed something afterwards? The practice shows Unpublished changes until you Republish.
