Your club’s words

Clubs say different things: sweep or steersperson, bench or row, sub or reserve. Set your club’s words once and everyone in the club reads them; you’ll need to run the club.

Pick a preset

Go to Clubs › Manage your club › Terminology and choose a Preset: North America, Australia/NZ or IDBF formal. Each also sets the club’s weight unit: pounds for North America, kilos for the other two.

Change single terms

Under Terms, choose the sides (Left / Right or Port / Starboard), what a row is called, whether rows count From the front or From the back, the zone names, and the words for the drummer, the steerer and a reserve, such as Caller, Sweep, Helm or Sub.

Or type your own

Under Custom labels, type any word you like. Preview shows the result before you Save.

Which end you look from

Boat view on Manage sets whether every lineup in the club is drawn from the steerer’s end or the drummer’s.

The default boat

Clubs › Manage your club › Default boat picks the club’s boat: Small (10 paddler) has 12 seats and Standard (20 paddler) has 22, counting the drummer and the steersperson. Sets the seat count only.
